Information for hirers of Warkworth Town Hall
Corner of Neville & Alnwick Streets, Warkworth 0980, New Zealand. Rear access to Stage Doors and Deliveries from Neville Street. There is no landline phone at the venue.
Your booking automatically activates a swipe card which you can collect from The Town Hall Office prior to your event. Access for planning and preparation is by arrangement with the Co-ordinators on 027 527 8869. In the event you cannot get in you can call Auckland Council Venue Hire on 09 379 2030 (Option 2) who can grant access by remote. In an emergency call 027 527 8869.
Leaving the venue clean and tidy is the responsibility of the Named Hirer. The Kitchen is to be cleared of any food and any recycling is to be put in (Yellow) Bins in the Car Park. Blinds are to be left open – please handle all blinds with care, particularly the Main Hall blinds which feature a blackout ‘cassette’ which MUST be operated slowly.
Unless discussed within 24 hours after the booking, any damage to floor, walls, carpet or equipment will be directly charged to the Hirer.
There are light switches in all downstairs rooms and lobby areas. Controls for Main Hall Lighting are on the RH wall in the Control Area at the back of the Dress Circle (Mezzanine). Exterior lights are on a timer.
Main Hall heating is controlled in the Switchroom beside the old Box Office. Detailed instructions are printed out and kept on the switchboard control panel. There are seperate Air Conditioning units in Kitchen, Mezzanine Conference Room and front offices.
WiFi modem is situated in the Black Box on the wall of the Box Office. Password is T3mporaryGu3st.
House curtains are operated from Stage Right beside the stairway. House Blacks can only be removed by permission and must be replaced cleaned.
Our Sound & Projection Equipment is not included in the Venue Hire, but can be hired for the Main Hall, Stage and Conference Room directly from Warkworth Town Hall. Instructions for hire & use can be found Here.
Understage areas can be used for the duration of the hire but for ongoing storage please apply to Venue Co-ordination team.
It is the responsibility of the Hirer to ensure that the Venue is fully secured at the end of their booking time, unless the Hall is in use by another person or group – or by prior arrangement with the Facility Co-ordinators. All Auto-Lock doors will be activated automatically but please remember that the Main Entrance, Car Park doors and all Emergency Exit Doors have to be secured manually from inside the building.
Any loss of fixtures or fittings, or any damage to the Hall, which is attributed to a failure to lock the building securely, will be the responsibility of the Hirer.
Please note it is the hirers responsibility to set out furniture as required for your event and to clear away/tidy up after each booking.
